Yes, in that both Biofield Tuning and sound healing use sound energy and vibration to facilitate relaxation, healing and transformation. However, Biofield Tuning utilises a specific method and approach designed by founder, Eileen Day McKusick.
During a Biofield Tuning session, a client lies fully clothed on a treatment table while the practitioner activates a tuning fork and scans the biofield slowly - feeling for resistance and turbulence in the client's biofield; listening for a change in the overtones and undertones of the tuning fork. Sometimes the body's innate intelligence will respond to the sound and adjust. At other times I may prompt shifts through breathwork or visualisation.
Biofield Tuning is a sound therapy method using tuning forks that works directly with the body's electromagnetic system or what some might call the subtle body. All physical, mental and emotional disorders can be perceived as "dissonance" in our electrical system. Biofield Tuning is able to locate, diminish and resolve this dissonance and in doing so, alleviate and even eradicate the corresponding physical, mental and/or emotional symptoms.
