Bodhi Holistic Hub

Client Help Center

You have three easy ways to find the right practitioner for your needs:

Option 1 - Search by Concern or Practice: Use our search bar with two simple fields:

  • "Concern or Practice": Type your health concern (like anxiety, chronic pain, or insomnia) or the specific practice you want (like acupuncture, reiki, or naturopathy)
  • "Location": Enter your suburb, city, or postcode, or click the location icon to use your current location

Once you see results, use filters to narrow by availability, ratings, session type (in-person or online), and language spoken.

Option 2 - Take Our Practitioner Matching Quiz: Answer a few questions about your health goals and preferences, and we'll recommend practitioners who are the best fit for your specific needs. This is especially helpful if you're new to holistic health or unsure where to start.

Option 3 - Explore Our Learning Hub: Visit our Learning Hub to explore holistic practice guides and wellbeing articles. Our practice guides provide detailed information about different modalities, their benefits, how they apply to different health concerns, and typical session costs. Our wellbeing articles, written by Bodhi practitioners and holistic experts, offer insights into natural health topics. From there, search for practitioners who specialise in what interests you.

Click on any practitioner's name or photo to view their complete profile, which includes:

  • Background information and personal bio
  • Top 5 Focus Areas displayed prominently (the main condition categories they work with most, based on all their sessions)
  • Credentials, qualifications, and certifications
  • Specialties and expertise
  • Available sessions with descriptions
  • "Ideal for" descriptions for each session showing the top 2 condition categories that the session addresses
  • Practitioner FAQs answering common questions about their practice
  • Client reviews and star ratings
  • Up to 3 testimonials from past clients
  • Photos of the practitioner and their practice space
  • Special badges like "New practitioner" for recently joined members, "Free discovery call" if they offer free consultations, and "Promotion" if they have current special offers
  • Current promotions or special offers

Sessions are automatically displayed from least to most expensive, making it easy to see all your options at a glance.

Energy healing practices work with the body's subtle energy systems to promote balance, healing, and wellbeing. While Western medicine focuses primarily on physical processes, energy healing addresses the energetic aspects of health.

Common energy healing practices on Bodhi include:

  • Reiki: Japanese healing technique channelling life energy through the practitioner's hands.
  • Sound Healing: Using instruments like singing bowls, gongs, or tuning forks to create healing vibrations.
  • Crystal Therapy: Working with crystals and gemstones to balance energy and promote healing.
  • Biofield Tuning: Using tuning forks to detect and correct distortions in the body's electromagnetic field.
  • Spinal Energetics / Spinal Flow Technique: Working with the nervous system and energetic blockages along the spine.
  • Kundalini Activation: Facilitating the awakening and movement of kundalini energy through the body.
  • Intuitive Energy Healing: Practitioner-guided healing based on intuitive perception of energy imbalances.

Energy healing is generally non-invasive, deeply relaxing, and can complement other treatments. Many people report reduced stress, improved emotional wellbeing, and enhanced vitality. Sessions may be hands-on, hands-off (working in the energy field around your body), or conducted remotely.

While these approaches all support personal growth and wellbeing, they have different focuses:

Counselling (Holistic Counselling, Transpersonal Counselling):

  • Addresses emotional difficulties, life transitions, and relationship issues
  • Explores past experiences and current challenges
  • Provided by qualified counsellors with formal training
  • May be covered by some health insurance plans
  • Suitable for working through grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, and life challenges

Coaching (Life Coaching, Wellness Coaching, Holistic Health Coaching, Somatic Coaching):

  • Focuses on achieving future goals and creating positive change
  • Action-oriented and solution-focused
  • Helps with personal development, lifestyle changes, and goal achievement
  • Suitable for enhancing performance, making life changes, or improving specific areas of life

Specialised Therapeutic Approaches: Our platform also includes specialised techniques like Hypnotherapy, NLP, Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT), Root Cause Therapy, EMDR, and EFT. These combine elements of therapy and coaching with specific techniques for transformation and healing.

When choosing, consider: Are you working through past difficulties (counselling/therapy) or creating future possibilities (coaching)? Many practitioners integrate multiple approaches tailored to your needs.

Bodhi offers a wide range of spiritual practices and intuitive services for those seeking guidance, insight, and spiritual growth:

Divination & Readings: Tarot Reading, Oracle Card Reading, Astrology, Numerology, Spiritual and Psychic Reading, Akashic Records Reading

Regression & Past Life Work: Past Life Regression, Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT), Beyond Quantum Healing (BQH), Soul Centre Healing Hypnosis (SCHH)

Energetic & Spiritual Healing: Shamanic Healing, Channelling, ThetaHealing, Akashic Space and Land Clearing, Gene Keys, Human Design, Feng Shui

Transformational Practices: Breathwork, Meditation, Qigong, Kundalini Activation, Family Constellation, Spiral Healing

These practices can provide insight, clarity, healing, and spiritual connection. They're suitable for anyone curious about deeper aspects of themselves, seeking life direction, or exploring their spiritual path.

Different practices can address similar health concerns in different ways. Here's how to find the right approach:

Use Our Tools:

  • Search by Concern: Type your specific health concern (anxiety, chronic pain, insomnia) and see which practitioners and practices specialise in that area
  • Take the Matching Quiz: Answer questions about your health goals and preferences to get personalised practitioner recommendations
  • Visit the Learning Hub: Learn about different practices, their benefits, and how they apply to your specific concerns

Consider Your Preferences:

  • Do you prefer hands-on bodywork or talk-based sessions?
  • Are you drawn to energetic/spiritual approaches or evidence-based natural medicine?
  • Do you want to address specific symptoms or take a whole-person approach?
  • Are you comfortable with techniques like needles (acupuncture) or prefer non-invasive options?

Book a Discovery Call: Many practitioners offer free discovery calls where you can discuss your concerns and ask whether their approach would be suitable for you.

Remember, many people benefit from combining different practices—for example, working with both a naturopath for nutritional support and a meditation teacher for stress management.

The Practitioner Matching Quiz is a personalised recommendation tool that helps you find the right practitioner for your unique needs. Instead of browsing through dozens of profiles, you answer questions about:

  • Your primary health concerns or goals
  • Your preferences for
  • Session type preferences (in-person vs. online)
  • Other relevant factors

Based on your answers, we recommend practitioners who are the best match for you. This takes the guesswork out of finding the right support for your holistic health journey.

Yes, many practitioners on Bodhi work with children, adolescents, and families. When searching, you can:

  • Use the "sessions suitable for" filter and select infants, kids, or teens
  • Look for practitioners who mention working with specific age groups in their profile
  • Check for practices particularly suited to young people, such as Youth Mentoring, Play Therapy approaches, or Family Constellation work
  • Use our practitioner matching quiz and specify the age of the person needing support

Some practices are particularly gentle and suitable for children, such as Craniosacral Therapy, Bowen Therapy, Energy Healing, and certain counselling approaches. Always check individual practitioner profiles for their specific experience with younger clients.

Yes, we have many practitioners experienced in working with older adults and age-related health concerns. Use the "Sessions suitable for" filter and select "Seniors/Elderly" to find appropriate practitioners.

Common concerns seniors seek holistic support for include chronic pain and arthritis, mobility and balance issues, sleep difficulties, cognitive health, digestive health, energy and vitality, emotional wellbeing, life transitions, and end-of-life support.

Suitable practices for seniors include gentle remedial or holistic massage, Bowen Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, acupuncture for pain management, naturopathy for healthy aging, gentle yoga therapy, meditation and mindfulness, reflexology, energy healing, counselling for life transitions, and End of Life Doula support.

Practitioners experienced with seniors understand mobility limitations, medication interactions, and age-related health considerations. They adapt their treatments to be gentle, safe, and effective for older bodies. Many offer home visits or online sessions for those with mobility challenges.

Yes, many practitioners on Bodhi offer online sessions (also called telehealth or virtual sessions), making holistic health support accessible no matter where you are in Australia.

Practices well-suited to online delivery include:

  • Naturopathy and nutritional consultations
  • Counselling and coaching
  • Hypnotherapy and NLP
  • Energy healing (distance healing)
  • Astrology, tarot, and intuitive readings
  • Meditation and breathwork guidance
  • Health coaching and lifestyle consultations

To find online practitioners, filter by session type and select "Online" to see only virtual options. Each practitioner's profile clearly indicates whether they offer in-person, online, or both types of sessions.

Online sessions are conducted via video conferencing platforms (typically Zoom). Your practitioner will send you connection details through our messaging system once your booking is confirmed.

Yes, Bodhi services clients across Australia. You can search for practitioners by location (suburb, city, or postcode) or click the location icon to automatically find practitioners near you. We have practitioners in major cities like Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, and Canberra, as well as regional areas.

Many practitioners also offer online sessions via telehealth, making it possible to access holistic health support no matter where you are in Australia.

Session prices vary depending on the practitioner, practice type, session duration, and location. On our platform, sessions are automatically displayed from least to most expensive on each practitioner's profile, making it easy to find options within your budget.

Typical price ranges include:

  • Initial consultations: Generally higher as they're longer and more comprehensive
  • Follow-up sessions: Usually lower than initial appointments
  • Packages: Often discounted when you book multiple sessions together
  • Discovery calls: Many practitioners offer free 15-30 minute discovery calls

You can filter search results by price range and see exact pricing before booking. All prices are displayed in Australian dollars (AUD).

For detailed pricing guides by modality, visit our Learning Hub, where we provide cost ranges and what to expect for each type of practice we offer.

Some practitioners offer packages that bundle multiple sessions together at a discounted rate. For example, a "5-Session Acupuncture Package" might cost less per session than booking five individual sessions separately.

Packages are a great way to:

  • Save money if you're committed to a treatment plan
  • Ensure consistency with the same practitioner
  • Make a longer-term investment in your health journey

When viewing a practitioner's profile, packages appear alongside individual sessions. You can book packages the same way you book individual sessions.

Yes, when viewing search results, you can use the "Private Health Fund" filter to find practitioners whose services may be claimable through your private health insurance extras cover.

Important notes about health insurance:

  • Coverage depends on your specific health fund, level of cover, and practice type
  • Each fund has different policies, annual limits, and waiting periods
  • You'll need to pay for the session upfront through Bodhi, then claim the rebate directly from your health fund
  • Not all holistic practices are covered by insurance

Commonly covered practices include Remedial Massage and Myotherapy, Naturopathy, Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chiropractic, Osteopathy, Physiotherapy, and some forms of counselling and psychology.

No, you don't need a GP referral to book most holistic health practitioners on Bodhi. You can book directly through our platform for any practitioner or practice that interests you.

However, if you'd like to claim the appointment through private health insurance, some funds may require a referral for certain practices. We recommend checking with your health fund about their specific requirements.

A discovery call is a free, short conversation (typically 15-30 minutes) with a practitioner before you commit to a full session. It's an opportunity to:

  • Discuss your health concerns and goals
  • Ask questions about the practitioner's approach
  • Get a feel for whether you'd work well together
  • Understand what to expect from sessions

Many practitioners offer discovery calls, and they're marked clearly on practitioner profiles. This is especially helpful if you're new to a particular practice or want to make sure it's the right fit for your needs.

Every practitioner goes through a comprehensive vetting process before joining Bodhi. Our priority is to ensure we only have the most trusted, skilled, and passionate practitioners who can confidently support you on your holistic health journey.

Our vetting process includes:

  • Detailed application review and screening
  • In-person or online interview with our team
  • Assessment of expertise, communication skills, and client space
  • Verification of qualifications, certifications, and insurance
  • Background checks and mandatory documentation review
  • Test sessions when required
  • Ongoing monitoring through client reviews and feedback

All practitioners must provide proof of professional qualifications and certifications, current insurance coverage, government-issued identification, and Working With Children Checks when working with minors.

You may notice special badges on practitioner profiles that help you quickly identify key features:

  • New practitioner: Recently joined Bodhi and is newly available for bookings
  • Free discovery call: Offers a complimentary consultation so you can get to know them before booking a full session
  • Limited Time offer: Currently running a special offer or discount

These badges make it easy to spot practitioners offering what you're looking for.

The "New practitioner" badge appears on profiles of practitioners who have recently joined Bodhi. While these practitioners may be new to our platform, they still undergo our complete vetting process and meet all our quality standards.

New practitioners often have testimonials from past clients to help build trust even before they accumulate reviews on our platform. Don't hesitate to book with a new practitioner—they may be exactly what you're looking for!

When you make a booking through Bodhi, you pay before your session. This means a practitioner should not ask you for extra money in person or outside the platform.

Once logged in, go to your dashboard by clicking your profile photo in the top right corner. You'll see your "Upcoming bookings" which include a chat button.

Alternatively, click "Manage your bookings" and find your confirmed booking. On the right side under "Session Status," there's a chat button. Click it to begin a conversation. You'll be notified via email when the practitioner responds.

The chat box is available once you've booked a session and remains active up to 14 days after the session has been completed. This allows for follow-up questions or feedback.

The easiest way to add sessions to your calendar is from your confirmation email. Click the "Add to calendar" link next to your booking time and date, and follow the prompts. This ensures you never miss an appointment and keeps all your commitments in one place.

Bodhi offers two session types:

In-person Session: You go to the practitioner's studio or home office. The full address is provided in your booking confirmation email once the session is confirmed.

Online Session: The session happens over video or phone. Different practitioners use different methods (Zoom, phone, etc.). The practitioner will send you connection details through our chat system or in a follow-up message.

You can filter search results by "Session Type" to find specifically in-person or online options. To check your session location after booking, look in your booking description on your client dashboard or review your booking confirmation email.

Yes, once a booking is confirmed, you'll receive:

  • The practitioner's phone number (in your confirmation email and dashboard)
  • The practice address for in-person sessions
  • Access to message the practitioner through our chat system

You will not receive the practitioner's email address directly, but you can communicate with them anytime through your dashboard. Just find your booking and click the "Chat" button.

For online sessions, the practitioner will send you video conferencing links or call-in details through the chat system before your appointment.

First appointments (often called initial consultations) are typically longer than follow-up sessions, usually 60-90 minutes. Here's what generally happens:

Before the Appointment:

  • Some practitioners may send an intake form to complete
  • You'll receive confirmation with the address (for in-person) or video link (for online sessions)
  • You can message the practitioner through Bodhi if you have questions

During the Appointment:

  • Detailed discussion of your health history, concerns, and goals
  • Questions about lifestyle, diet, sleep, stress, and other factors
  • Physical assessment or examination (if relevant to the practice)
  • Discussion of treatment approach and recommendations
  • Initial treatment during the first session
  • Treatment plan for ongoing care

After the Appointment:

  • Clear understanding of next steps and any recommendations
  • Opportunity to book follow-up appointments
  • Ability to message your practitioner with questions

Each practice and practitioner is different, so check the session description on their profile for specific details about what to expect.

Preparation varies by practice, but general tips include:

  • Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing (especially for bodywork or acupuncture)
  • Bring any relevant medical records, test results, or medication lists
  • Complete any intake forms sent by the practitioner
  • Arrive 5-10 minutes early for in-person appointments
  • Have a quiet, private space ready for online sessions
  • Prepare a list of questions or concerns you want to address
  • Eat a light meal beforehand (avoid arriving very hungry or very full)
  • Stay hydrated

Your practitioner may provide specific instructions in their booking confirmation or through our messaging system. Don't hesitate to ask if you're unsure about anything.

Yes, we sell gift cards that can be used to book sessions on Bodhi. Gift cards are a thoughtful way to introduce someone to holistic health or support someone on their wellness journey.

If you cancel your booking more than 24 hours before the session start time, you'll receive a full refund minus a small processing fee (1.75% + $0.30 for domestic cards and 2.9% + $0.30 for international cards). This processing fee is charged by Stripe, our payment processor, and is not retained by Bodhi.

If you cancel less than 24 hours before the session, you will not receive a refund.

If the practitioner cancels your session, you'll receive a full refund with no processing fees deducted.

Refunds are typically processed within 5-10 business days and will appear in the original payment method you used.

Can the practitioner reschedule my booking?

"Yes, though practitioners are encouraged to honour all confirmed bookings. If a practitioner needs to reschedule:

  1. They should message you first through our platform to discuss a new time
  2. Once you both agree on a new time, they can process the reschedule
  3. You'll receive a notification with the new booking details

If you cannot make the new time they propose, you can decline and receive a full refund with no fees deducted.

If the practitioner simply cancels without offering to reschedule, you'll automatically receive a full refund with no processing fees.

If a practitioner needs to cancel your confirmed booking, you'll receive immediate notification via email and through your dashboard. You'll automatically receive a full refund with no processing fees deducted. The refund typically appears in your original payment method within 5-10 business days.

We encourage you to leave feedback about your experience if a practitioner frequently cancels, as this helps us maintain our quality standards.

If you're running late, contact your practitioner immediately using the phone number provided in your booking confirmation email. Most practitioners will do their best to accommodate you, but please note that your session may need to be shortened to respect the practitioner's schedule and other clients' appointments.

If you're more than 15-20 minutes late, the practitioner may need to cancel the session. In this case, our standard cancellation policy applies—since you didn't cancel 24+ hours in advance, you may not receive a refund. Contact [email protected] if you have concerns about a specific situation.

If your practitioner doesn't show up for a scheduled appointment, first try contacting them using the phone number in your booking confirmation. If you can't reach them within 15 minutes of your scheduled time, please contact us immediately at [email protected].

You will receive a full refund automatically. We take no-shows very seriously and will investigate and take appropriate action with the practitioner.

Once you've had your session, you'll receive an email invitation to complete and submit a review. You can also go to your Dashboard, click "Manage your bookings," and under "Completed Sessions" select the "Leave a review" button.

You have 14 days after completing your session to leave a review.

Our review system invites you to leave a review and a star rating after you've had a session. During the review process, you'll be asked to rate the practitioner across multiple areas:

  • Communication and engagement
  • Expertise and professionalism
  • Practitioner space (for in-person sessions only)
  • Overall experience

Based on your ratings across these categories, the practitioner receives an overall star rating from 1 to 5. Your review will be visible on their profile, and the practitioner can respond publicly.

A helpful review will:

  • Summarise your personal experience and provide constructive feedback
  • Provide context on elements like communication, expertise, and overall service level
  • Be honest and specific
  • Keep it civil, unbiased, and friendly

Consider these areas:

  • Communication and Engagement: Was the practitioner friendly and welcoming? Did they communicate clearly and make you feel at ease? Did you feel seen and heard?
  • Practitioner Expertise: Did the practitioner demonstrate expertise through their skillset and knowledge? Did they address your needs and provide a plan for your ongoing journey?
  • Practitioner Space (in-person): Was the space clean, inviting, and comfortable? Did it offer a sense of safety and tranquillity?
  • Overall Experience: Would you return to this practitioner? Would you recommend them to others?

Currently, reviews cannot be edited or deleted once submitted. This maintains the integrity of our review system and ensures transparency. However, if you believe your review contains an error or was submitted in violation of our policies, you can contact [email protected] to request a review.

Testimonials are recommendations from a practitioner's past clients (often from before they joined Bodhi) that appear on their profile. Reviews, on the other hand, are feedback specifically from clients who booked through the Bodhi platform.

You'll see up to 3 testimonials displayed on practitioner profiles, especially for practitioners who are new to the platform and haven't yet accumulated reviews through Bodhi bookings. Both testimonials and reviews help you make informed decisions about which practitioner is right for you.

After your first session, you can easily rebook with the same practitioner:

  • Book directly from your past bookings in your dashboard
  • Visit the practitioner's profile and book as usual
  • Ask the practitioner about packages if they offer multi-session bundles at a discount

Building a consistent relationship with a practitioner often leads to better outcomes for your holistic health journey.

The chat system remains active up to 14 days after your session has been completed. This allows you to ask follow-up questions or provide feedback. After 14 days, you'll need to book another session to reopen communication through the platform.

We want every client to have a positive experience on Bodhi. If you're unhappy with your session:

  1. Communicate with the practitioner first: Use our messaging system to share your concerns directly. Many issues can be resolved through open communication.
  2. Leave an honest review: Your review helps other clients make informed decisions and helps practitioners improve their services.
  3. Contact Bodhi support: If the issue remains unresolved or involves safety concerns, email [email protected] with details about your experience. We investigate all concerns thoroughly.

Bodhi is free to use. You only pay for the sessions you book with practitioners. There are no membership fees, subscription costs, or booking fees.

Session prices vary depending on the practitioner, practice type, session duration, and location. On our platform, sessions are automatically displayed from least to most expensive on each practitioner's profile.

Typical price ranges include:

  • Initial consultations: Generally higher as they're longer and more comprehensive
  • Follow-up sessions: Usually lower than initial appointments
  • Packages: Often discounted when you book multiple sessions together
  • Discovery calls: Many practitioners offer free 15-30 minute discovery calls

All prices are clearly shown before booking, displayed in Australian dollars (AUD).

Yes, many sessions on Bodhi may be claimable through your private health insurance extras cover. Use the "Private Health Fund" filter when searching to find practitioners whose services are commonly covered.

Important information:

  • You'll need to pay for the session upfront through Bodhi
  • Then claim the rebate directly from your health fund
  • Coverage depends on your specific fund, level of cover, and practice type
  • Each fund has different policies, annual limits, and waiting periods
  • Not all holistic practices are covered by insurance

Commonly covered practices include Remedial Massage, Naturopathy, Acupuncture, Chiropractic, Osteopathy, Physiotherapy, and some counselling.

Check with your health fund about their specific requirements and whether they need a referral for certain practices.

Packages bundle multiple sessions together at a discounted rate. For example, a "5-Session Acupuncture Package" might cost less per session than booking five individual sessions separately.

Packages are a great way to save money if you're committed to a treatment plan, ensure consistency with the same practitioner, and make a longer-term investment in your health journey.

When viewing a practitioner's profile, packages appear alongside individual sessions. You book packages the same way you book individual sessions.

Gift cards can be purchased and used to book any session on Bodhi. They're a thoughtful way to introduce someone to holistic health or support someone on their wellness journey.

To purchase a gift card, visit our gift cards page or contact [email protected] for assistance. The recipient can use the gift card value toward booking any practitioner or session on our platform.
