There is no perfect amount of time to fast. The duration and way in which you fast will be completely unique to you. We are all in different states of health, different ages and have different goals when it comes to fasting thus it's impossible to say what the perfect amount of time to fast is. The best thing to do would be to talk to a coach who has experience guiding individuals through fasting experiences.

You don't have to be sick to fast! Fasting is about giving the body an opportunity to rest and allowing it to have more energy to detox and eliminate acidic waste from within. This can most definitely assist with sickness and disease however it can also assist in allowing healthy people to remove any accumulated waste that may become a problem in the future. Fasting is also a wonderful mental and emotional reset that can bring clarity and direction to your life!

There are certain people that definitely can't fast. Those are pregnant and breastfeeding women. Anytime that you have another life dependent on you for growth and nourishment, you shouldn't be fasting. Others that need to be mindful, but not necessarily can't, when fasting are: -People with history of eating disorders -Severely underweight -Children under the age of 18
