What a session looks/feels like?

Sessions are done fully clothed on a mat on the floor. The therapist uses hands, elbows, knees, and feet to apply pressure, traction, and movement. It’s often described as feeling like a mix between a massage, assisted yoga, and a meditative experience.

What is Zenthai Shiatsu?

Zenthai Shiatsu is a floor-based practice and therapeutic movement therapy. It is carefully crafted to unshackle the body-mind of its fixations and create free-flow of our life-force energy (Qi or Prana). Founded by Gwyn Williams 30 years ago, it borrows from the Ancient Eastern traditions of Japanese Zen Shiatsu, Traditional Thai Massage and Traditional Chinese Medicine theory. These three approaches to touch and vitality are weaved together with Western Remedial and Osteopathic techniques to create a blended, fluid dance. Dis-ease and imbalance begin when things get stuck or stagnant. The free-flow of our internal energy is crucial to experiencing wellness, balance and vitality. At its essence, Zenthai Shiatsu has focused intention and deep listening at its core.
