What happens in a Kinesiology session?

Check In - We begin with a seated conversation. This is your space to share what’s been happening, how you’re feeling and what you’d like from your session. Together we discuss your symptoms, explore your health goals and the changes you’d like to see. Tune In - You’ll settle on the table as we tune into your body together. Light muscle monitoring will be used to identify what your body is ready to release. Gentle acupressure woven with conversation allows us to bring attention to emotions, sensations and limiting beliefs held in the body. Release & Restore - This is the part where you rest and receive an energy healing. In stillness your body is invited to release what no longer serves. Stagnant energy begins to shift, long-held patterns dissolve and your body is invited back into its natural balance.

How many Kinesiology sessions do I need?

You will start to see some shifts from your first session. However tailored plans for conditions will depend on how longstanding the issue is and how much support your body needs. We will chat about a tailored plan during your session so you know what to expect. I work a lot with stress and burnout so some people will commit to a session every few weeks to work through the layers of what they’re going through emotionally. Others are simply coming for a top up session when they feel they need some extra support in an area of their life.

How do I integrate what we work on in a Kinesiology session?

We can go quite deep in a session, moving a lot of energy and clearing stress around limiting beliefs. There is naturally an integration period following your session where more water, sleep and rest will be required. We will chat at the end of the session about ways to support integration between appointments so you are empowered and supported to make changes in your own life. As always, some of the best integration techniques are the most simple. Sunshine. Barefoot on grass. Swimming in the ocean. Good nutritious meals. Watching a sunrise or sunset. An early night.

How does the acupressure work?

I will be holding acupressure points through your session. This is done over the top of your clothes as the pulse for the acupressure point can still be felt this way. People can often feel the energy moving as the points are being held which is a lovely feedback response to let you know the shift has already begun.

What should I wear to my Kinesiology appointment?

You will be fully clothed lying face up on a massage table for your session so please wear comfortable clothing. You’re welcome to wear socks if your feet get cold or you don’t like your feet being touched.
