To deepen and support your ongoing connection to body, heart, and mind, I offer tailored resources alongside our work together. These may include companion journals, reflective writing prompts, guided audio meditations and visualisations, curated music playlists, and body-based practices to support integration between sessions. All resources are offered as invitations, empowering you to continue listening to and nurturing your own inner wisdom in a way that feels supportive and sustainable.

What does a typical Movement & Expressive Arts Therapy session look like?

Movement & Expressive Arts Therapy sessions are 1.5 hours where you bring the content and I hold the safe container and guide with invitational prompts. Tailored to you, the theme we are working with, and your needs and learning styles. Typically we start with presenting the body and breath, grounding and seeing what is present to be explored. There may be guided intuitive movement prompts, creative expression (such as drawing or writing), and reflective integration. Everything is offered as an invitation, and you’re encouraged to move at your own pace. Each session supports embodied awareness, insight, and integration, leaving space for what wants to emerge in the moment.

Do I need any experience in movement, dance, or art?

No prior experience is needed. This work is not about choreographed dance or being an artist. It is about fostering a safe relationship with your body ~ heart ~ mind, working with the whole self. It is about getting curious about the body and how it is communicating with you, learning to read the language of your body - it’s signals and deepening your ability to listen to, trust in and follow your intuitive knowing. Movement is guided by listening to your body and expressing what feels authentic in the moment, whether that is for release or insight. Similarly, art-making is used as a form of expression and reflection, not to create something “good” or “right.” The focus is on connection, expression, and embodied awareness — not performance or skill.

Movement & Expressive Arts Therapy is a body-based, creative approach to wellbeing that supports self-discovery through movement, creative expression, and reflective practices. My approach is curiosity-led, wholistic, non-judgemental and invitational. You are always in choice and have full agency over your experience. Rather than ‘fixing’ or analysing, we gently explore what’s already within you — supporting access to your inner resources, intuition, and wisdom and resourcing you along the way with self-regulation tools to deepen your strength in Self.
