How Long are the sessions?

Each session is 90 minutes for adults, 45 Minutes for children (14 and under). The first hour we chat about the primary reason for coming to see me and work with the body using kinesiology and MBM techniques, the last 30 minutes focuses on session integration & Nervous system regulation (think body work, deep pressure squeezes, acupressure massage, tuning forks weighted and unweighted , sound healing, music as medicine). Kin for Kids - 30 Minutes in session, 15 minutes post session integration & nervous system regulation.

What is muscle testing and does it hurt?

Muscle testing is a gentle technique used in Kinesiology to communicate with the body. It works by observing how a muscle responds to light pressure, giving insight into stress, imbalances, or what the body may need for support. When the body is in balance, a muscle will hold strong. When there is stress (physical, emotional, or chemical), the muscle will momentarily weaken. This isn’t about strength - it’s about the nervous system’s response. As kinesiologists, we use our fingers as a digital index. Each finger holds information that we can use to understand what’s happening in the body - structural, biochemical, psychological, or electromagnetic. Each finger contains 28 different points that hold information. By using finger modes alongside muscle testing and direct questioning, we’re able to have deeper conversations and more complex information exchanges with the body to understand the best way to support balance and healing. Muscle testing is a gentle, non-invasive way of communicating with the body and accessing information through the nervous system. There are many different ways we can muscle test, including but not limited to using manual muscle testing (applying light pressure to a muscle), or surrogate testing where we use another muscle from the client or even our own body (self muscle testing) to access information. Other forms can include using a pendulum, sway testing (observing the body’s natural forward and backward movement), and other intuitive or energetic testing methods. Each approach allows us to tune into the body in slightly different ways, supporting deeper insight and more personalised sessions.

Kinesiology is a gentle, holistic approach that works with the body’s own intelligence to uncover and address the deeper patterns that may be impacting your wellbeing. Rather than simply managing symptoms, kinesiology explores what sits beneath,supporting awareness, balance, and meaningful change from within. Using muscle monitoring (biofeedback), we’re able to access the body’s subconscious responses and identify areas of stress or imbalance across the physical, emotional, and energetic systems. From there, a range of integrative techniques are used to support the body in restoring balance and moving towards healing.
